Activity within the CABUREK project

On 17-20 November 2025, the 5th seminar of the CABUREK project "Developing the Basis for a Digital Measurement Infrastructure in BMZ Partner Countries | M4DT-IC" was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Stanislav PIVNENKO, engineer of the 1st cat. of the Scientific-Research Laboratory of International Cooperation and Information Technologies (SRL-42), took part in the event representing the NSC "Institute of Metrology".

The project has the objective to support national metrology institutes in partner countries to better manage the digital transformation according to the needs of their customers.

At the end of the seminar, Stanislav PIVNENKO received a Certificate for successfully completing the entire training course.

EURAMET Training Course on Review of QMS

On 11-13 November 2025, Tamara BILANOVYCH, Head of the State Testing Centre "Metrology", Contact Person in the EURAMET Technical Committee on Quality (TC-Q) from Ukraine, took part in the EURAMET Training course on review of Quality Management Systems (QMS), which took place at INTA, Torrejón de Ardoz (Spain), as a representative of the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Metrology".

The purpose of the course was to familiarise the participants with the structure and operation of the EURAMET TC-Q, the QMS review procedure and relevant documents. During the course, the participants gained practical skills in preparing reports and presentations on QMS.

As a result of the event, Tamara BILANOVYCH received a Certificate of successful completion of the training course.

Activities within the Consultative Committee for Ionizing Radiation

On 3-7 November 2025, the Consultative Committee for Ionizing Radiation (CCRI) of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM) held a series of events within the CCRI, namely:

  • 30th meeting of the CCRI;
  • Meeting of CCRI Section II: Measurement of radionuclides;
  • Workshop “The Past and Future of Ionizing Radiation Metrology”;
  • CCRI(II) Workshop “The Future of Radionuclide Metrology and CCRI(II)”.

Volodymyr SKLIAROV, Acting Director General of the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Metrology", took part in the events.

NSC "Institute of Metrology" is an official Observer in the CCRI from Ukraine.

The main purpose of the events was to cover the current state of the CCRI activities, raise awareness of the history of ionizing radiation metrology, and discuss prospects for the development of the field.

International Conference on Metrology and Digital Transformation M4DConf 2025 IMEKO

On 3-5 September 2025, the International Conference on Metrology and Digital Transformation (M4DConf 2025) took place in Benevento, Italy, within the framework of the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO).

The International Conference on Metrology and Digital Transformation represents an international meeting place in the world of research in the field of metrology for digital transformation involving national and international institutions and academia in a discussion on the state-of-the-art concerning issues that require a joint approach by experts of metrology, measurement and instrumentation and industrial testing, typically professional engineers, and experts in innovation metrology.

Stanislav PIVNENKO, engineer of the 1st cat. of the Scientific-Research Laboratory of International Cooperation and Information Technologies (SRL-42), took part in the event representing the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Metrology".

Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to discuss current trends and approaches to digitalisation in metrology, share experiences, and forge connections for further cooperation with National Metrology Institutes across the globe.

RESULTS of the 2nd European Competition of the Best Young Metrologists of Ukraine

On 17-19 June 2025, in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Second European Competition of the Best Young Metrologists of Ukraine was held.

The young metrologists of the NSC “Institute of Metrology,” IVAN STRILETS, with his project on the topic “Study of the arms of the Michelson interferometer to improve the accuracy of linear distance measurements”, and ANDRII VASYLIEV, with his project on the topic “Development and implementation of adaptive optics for atmospheric turbulence compensation: outlook for Ukraine”, successfully presented their reports at the competition.

According to the results of the Evaluation Committee of the Competition, which included the experts representing such international organisations as the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), the European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET), and National Metrology Institutes, ANDREI VASILIEV was awarded 2nd place in the category “Scientific Research”.

WE SINCERELY CONGRATULATE OUR FELLOWS AND THANK THEM FOR THE WORTHY REPRESENTATION OF THE NSC “INSTITUTE OF METROLOGY” ON THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL!
