Fields of activity:
- conducting research on the theoretical foundations of metrology, measurement theory and methods for determining the accuracy of measurements;
- carrying out works related to the development and implementation of state programs in metrology and the concept of development of the metrological system of Ukraine;
- participation in the development of draft technical regulations and other regulations in the field of metrology and metrological activities;
- development of national normative documents in the field of metrology and metrological activity, including harmonized with international and European normative documents;
- implementation of scientific-methodical and organizational support of unity of measurements and transfer of sizes of units of measurement to the state enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine (Ministry of Economy of Ukraine), metrological services of enterprises and organizations;
- examination of interstate and international regulations in the field of metrology in order to determine the feasibility of their use in Ukraine;
- updating the current norms, rules and procedures in the field of metrology, and their harmonization with international documents;
- information support on metrology of metrological services of central executive bodies, enterprises and organizations, state enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;
- systematization and generalization of information on the activities of NC-6;
- participation in the development of documents of the quality management system (management) of LLC "Metrology", SHE "Metrology" and NSC "Institute of Metrology";
- performance of works on assessment of FTA compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations and certification of quality management systems, in accordance with the scope of accreditation (appointment) of CJSC "Metrology" NSC "Institute of Metrology";
- conducting tests in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 (ISO / IEC 17025: 2017, IDT) of electrical appliances, apparatus and devices, lighting products, lamps and components for it; means of computer equipment, wires and cables, electric transformers, radiation equipment, means of protection against ionizing radiation and laser equipment, information systems and software, diagnostic systems and equipment, FTA, complexes of technical means, measuring systems, data transmission systems, accounting systems; tests for electromagnetic compatibility, climatic and mechanical influences, electrical safety in accordance with the scope of accreditation of the SHE "Metrology" NSC "Institute of Metrology".
