According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 330, dated May 27, 2015, the NSC “INSTITUTE OF METROLOGY” is a scientific metrological center (SMC). Part 2 of Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Metrology and Metrological Activity” of 05.06.2014 No. 1314-VIII (Law) defines the sphere of activity of the SMC, in particular:
6) carry out calibration and calibration of measuring equipment;
7) carry out measurements in the sphere of legislatively regulated metrology;
9) carry out international cooperation in matters within their competence.
Paragraph 2 of Article 27 of the Law (calibration of measuring instruments) provides:
Calibration of measuring instruments is carried out:
- scientific metrological centers;
- metrological centers, calibration laboratories, accredited by the national accreditation body of Ukraine;
- metrological centers, calibration laboratories which have documented traceability of their standards to national standards, standards of other countries or international standards of the relevant units of measurement.
In connection with the aforementioned NSC "INSTITUTE OF METROLOGY" presents the Classifier of services for calibration (Download) and measurement (Download) of measuring equipment for other enterprises, organizations and individuals during the start-up, release after repair, operation.
NSC "Institute of Metrology" has calibration and measurement capabilities in the following areas:
Attention! From July 3, 2019, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine of 06.06.2019 No. 2740-VIII "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Implementation of Legislation of the European Union in the Field of Technical Regulation", the possibility of "verification of measuring instruments, which are not applied in the field of legally regulated metrology, on a voluntary basis" has been canceled.
