You are unvited to take part in
IX International Scientific & Technical Conference

“METROLOGY AND MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES”
(«METROLOGY–2014»),

which will be held on 15-17 October, 2014, in Kharkiv at the National Scientific Centre “Institute of Metrology” of Mineconomrozvitok of Ukraine under the aegis of COOMET.

Coorganizators of the conference are:

· Ministry of economical development and trade of Ukraine;

· Ministry of education and science of Ukraine;

· National Scientific Centre “Institute of Metrology”;

· Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics;

· Nothern-Eastern Scientific centre of the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of education and science, youth and sports of Ukraine.

The purpose of the conference is to combine the efforts of metrologists and manufacturers in order to stimulate metrology development and implement its achievements in advanced technology.

Issues to be discussed:

• general and legal metrology;
• measurement methods and procedures;
• measurement theory;
• measurement uncertainty;
• calibration and verification;
• comparisons and transfer of the sizes of physical units;
• measurement standards and high accuracy measurement instruments;
• information measurement systems, intelligent measurements;
• international cooperation.

Participants are welcome to submit papers on the following types of measurements: Acoustics; Length and Angle; Time and Frequency; Ionizing Radiation; Mass and Related Quantities; Flow; Optics and Laser Technology; Radio Electronics; Temperature; Physical Chemistry; Photometry and Radiometry; Electricity and Magnetism.

On 14 October within the conference “Metrology-2014” there will be held:

1. Worshop-seminar “Introduction into Quantum Metrology”;

2. Scientific-practical seminar “Actual Issues of Energy Saving”;

3. Scientific-practical seminar “Antenna measurements. External Calibration of Sensors of Space-Basing».

The organization fee is 300,00 hryvas (8 academis hours).

Important dates:

1 June – deadline for application form submittal for participants with paper;

1 September – deadline for application form submittal for participants without paper;

1 October – deadline for payment submittal;

14–15 October – arrival of the participants;

15 October – opening of the conference.

Submittal requirements

Papers (3-4 full pages) may be submitted in Ukrainian, Russian or English (at option). Basic, review and subject-determining papers will be considered at the plenary sessions.

Participants must meet the following requirements to have their papers included into the conference programme and published in the conference proceedings:

• submit an application form;
• bring the paper topic to conformity with the subject of the conference;
• submit the paper in the required format to the Organizing Committee;
• pay the organization fee in proper time.

After receiving an application form from you, there will be sent at your address an invoice for payment of organization fee, contract and act of conducted works in two copies.

The organization fee is 550 hryvnas per participant,
for PhD candidates and applicants it is 300 hryvnas.

The organization fee is to be transferred obligatory with the notice “For participation of (first name, last name) in the Conference “Metrology-2014”.

Submitted papers will not be published without payment!

Application form for the participation in the conference can be sent by post or e-mail.

The participants of the conference are obliged to send:

by post – two copies of the report, formatted according to the requirements and the example, and expert’s report;

at the e-mail: journal(at)metrology.kharkov.ua – electronic version of the report.
