Fields of activity

The Scientific Centre Of Quantum Measurements (SC-7) was created in 1993. The importance of creating our centre is related with the needs of the national economy of Ukraine in the field of fuel and energy complex and with ionizing radiation protection of human and nature.

Associates of SC-7 perform research and development activities in the field of precise measurements of the properties of α-, β-, γ-, X- and neutron radiation according to scientific and technical programs of both Ukraine and EU countries.

SC-7 is ready to cooperate with institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, organizations and enterprises of Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Recourses of Ukraine, Ministry for Emergency Situations of Ukraine, Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine, Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, etc.

SC-7 is ready to widen its cooperation within international projects in the field of nuclear physics, metrology of ionizing radiation, global ecology, fight against international terrorism and other problem projects.

SC-7 has created and maintains the following national primary standards in the field of measuring the properties of ionizing radiation and nuclear constants:

  • National primary standard of the unit of radon 222 volume activity (ДЕТУ 12-01-97);
  • National primary standard of the unit of radionuclide in the range of 5 - 55·1012 volume activity (ДЕТУ 12-02-98);
  • National primary standard of the units of flux and flux density of neutrons (ДЕТУ 12-03-01);
  • National primary standard of the units of absorbed and equivalent dose rate of neutron radiation (ДЕТУ 12-04-01);
  • National primary standard of the units of absorbed dose and absorbed dose rate of X- and α-radiation (ДЕТУ 12-05-02);
  • National primary standard of the units of equivalent dose and equivalent dose rate of X- and γ-radiation (ДЕТУ 12-06-02);
  • National primary standard of the units of exposure dose and exposure dose rate of X- and γ-radiation (ДЕТУ 12-07-02);
  • National primary standard of the unit of α-radiating aerosol volume activity (ДЕТУ 12-08-08).
