He-Ne laser is a source of coherent monochromatic radiation in the red region of the spectrum.

He-Ne lasers are widely used in:

- construction

- agriculture

- physiotherapy

- ophthalmology

- otolaryngology

- biology

- geodesy

- holography

- metrology

- space

Main technical data and characteristics:

The wavelength of laser radiation
(frequency)

λ = 632.9908 ÷ 632.9916 nm

f = 473612522 ÷ 473612043 MHz

Operating mode

continuous, single-mode

Radiation power

not less than 0.5·10-3 W

Relative instability of laser power for 8 hours
of continuous operation

≤ 2%

Spread of laser radiation (at the level of 0.5), not more than

0.8·10-3 rad.

220 V ± 10%, 50 Hz

The laser is characterized by:

- convenience and reliability in operation;

- great durability;

- high radiation stability;

- capability of operation in a wide range of temperatures and mechanical effects (when the ambient temperature changes from -35º to + 50º), the impact of vibration loads in the frequency range from 5 to 80 Hz, shock loads with an acceleration of 15 g.

The laser emitter (Fig. 1) has a coaxial structure consisting of an invar support tube, two identical adjusting units, an active element with a cold cathode (Fig. 2) and a box of resistors. The optical resonator is formed by spherical mirrors.
